I will dominate 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters met personally to publicize next month's boxing match.

Ex twice unified title holder Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

Despite those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather criticized ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's largest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As both boxers participated in the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
